Back of the Northcote City kit, Hercules and Zeus printed tone on tone

Northcote City came to us in our second year. They had seen the level of design and the fabrics we were using, and they wanted the same for their club.

Four years later, they made the TV rounds of the Australia Cup.

A televised cup game deserves more than the usual kit. So we made them a one-off.

Hercules

Look at Northcote's crest and you'll see the name in Greek: ΗΡΑΚΛΗΣ. Hercules.

In Greek mythology, Hercules is the son of Zeus. Those stories are thousands of years old, and they still run through Greek culture today. Northcote carries one of them in its name.

So we put father and son on the shirt, side by side, front and back. Printed tone on tone from collar to hem. From the stands you see the colour. Up close, you see the gods.

Made for one game. Kept for a whole season.

One game became a season

It was meant for the cameras and nothing more. The club liked it so much it became their kit for the following season.

That's what happens when a kit is built around a club's own story. It stops being a uniform. It becomes theirs.

NO VANILLA.
