How The Kit Gets On Your Back
Samples on the table, five designs with your story in them, a sizing day at your ground and a box with your name on it. This is how the kit gets on your back.
Most kit suppliers see a uniform. Something to tick off before the season starts.
We see a high-end piece of sports fashion. A badge of honour you can wear anywhere.
That changes how everything gets done. Here's how the kit actually gets on your back.
1. We turn up with the work
We don't walk into a club with a price list. We walk in with real kits we've made for other clubs, and we tell the story behind each one. Why Brunswick City wears Spartans. Why Essendon Royals carries the alabarda. Why Northcote has Hercules and Zeus on the shirt.
Once a committee hears the story behind someone else's kit, they start asking what theirs could be.
We bring a custom catalogue built for that club too. And a lot of the time, a sample kit already made in their colours, with their crest on it, before they've signed anything.
"I think you've got the whole Australian market cornered with the level of your products. I don't think anyone comes close."
The President of Manningham United, after seeing our samples.
2. Custom everything
Most suppliers design the match kit and stop there. The training kit, the quarter zip, the windbreaker and the tracksuit come straight off the shelf, the same ones every other club gets with a different badge stitched on.
We custom everything. Every piece a club wears carries its own design, from the match shirt down to the tracksuit.
No two clubs should look the same, because no two clubs are the same.
Every club carries its own story, its own people and its own style. Their gear should too.
3. Your story goes into the design
We're happy to start from one of our own designs as a base. But we always design at least four or five versions with the club's meaning and history built into them.
We go as many rounds as it takes. Building a club's identity isn't something you get right on the first try, and we won't hand over a kit until it feels like theirs.
4. Sizing day
We come to your ground. Depending on numbers, there are usually three or four of us sizing and two or three at checkout.
Every member tries on the real garments. We tell them what we'd go for and guide them through it, so nobody is guessing a size off a chart and living with it for a season.
5. Made
Once orders close, the kit goes into production. Match kits take around five weeks from order to arrival.
We always make 10% extra. Late signings happen every season, and nobody should be the one player without the kit.
6. A box with your name on it
Every pack goes into a custom ARMADURA club box, named for the player it belongs to, and gets delivered.
No bin bag of shirts dumped at training. No committee member sorting sizes in a car park. Your kit, in your box, with your name on it.
Why we do it this way
A plain uniform says you turned up. A kit built around your club says who you are.
We use the highest quality fabrics we can find, and we make every player and every club understand the same thing: you don't need to play in Europe to feel like you play for Barcelona.
That's the standard. On the pitch, in the stands and on the streets.
NO VANILLA.
